Mitsubishi Repair: tranny dipstick, mitsubishi eclipse, dipstick

Question
I have a 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse, and I'd like to know where the transmission fluid dipstick is located at. I believe that low fluids are my current issue, but cannot figure out where this one is positioned. Thank you for the advice.

Victor: When you open the hood of your car, standing there in the front of the car, well maybe a flash light would help there too. Because at times those transmission dipsticks are very hard to see. As they are painted a dark color, and sits low between the engine and the firewall. More on the driver's side of the car. In the back of the engine too. I guess you will have to use that flashlight, and just look. Sometimes for whatever be the reason the dipstick top breaks off, then it is very hard to see the darn thing. If you still have trouble finding the dipstick, why not take the car into a shop and have them change the fluid and filter but also put a transmission conditioner in with the change. It really helps the transmission. Hope this helps and good luck! ~Linda~
