Answer
Ed: You know don't you that Mitsubishi farmed out the building of their computers to another company and that company did not build very good ones. In that with time a piece in the computer will start to leak so then killing off the computer. Your car problem sounds a lot like a bad computer. So I would have that checked out. Sometimes when you get back to where the computer is, in the car well you can smell it because it has gotten hot enough to smell. But sometimes not too. Oh if the plugs have stark then your timing belt would be ok. You could have bad sensors too, so you need to code your car. AutoZone can do this for free. Or else use your repair manual for your car and a voltmeter. You can get your readings that way too. That should point to the problem. Hope this helps and good luck!Linda
