Mitsubishi Repair: power window replacement, window locks, roof frame

Question
My boyfriend wants to replace my driver side window. If buy some mistake,he gets his hand caught between the top of the window and the rubber roof frame gasket,if by some mistake,can he get crushed fingers,or a very moderate,or heavy pinch? Would he be able to push the window down enough to release his hand? Just trying to be on the safe side! Any advise you can give will surely ease his mind! Thank you for whatever info you can give.

If by some mistake, he gets his fingers caught, it can hurt, possibly crush.  It mainly depends on the strength of the window regulator and his tolerance for pain.  If he has the strength, he should be able to pull the window down enough to remove any caught fingers.  If this is a big concern for you, just put the window lock on permanently so your boyfriend cannot play with the windows.  This is the exact reason why the engineers put the window locks on all cars with power windows.
