Mitsubishi Repair: Fuel Pump Relay??, fuel pump relay, eclipse gs

Question
I was just wondering if the fuel pump on my 93 eclipse GS was suppost to stay running all the time. I can turn the key over and here the pump start up but it wont shut off.

Justin: So how does the car run? Does it seem that you are going through a lot of fuel? Are you sure what you are hearing is the fuel pump? The pump has to build up pressure to keep the car running. So maybe you do have a bad relay. But if the car is not useing more fuel than before, runs ok well I would not worry about this. But then if it bothers you, take the car to a shop and let them see what is going on. Hope this helps and good luck!
