Mitsubishi Repair: Fuel Pump Relay, mitsubishi galant, fuel pump relay

Question
I have a 92 Mitsubishi Galant. I just replaced the fuel pump and the fuel pump isn't getting power. I contacted the Mitsubishi dealership in my area and they stated that the fuel pump is ran to one of three relays but they did not have information on which relay it would be. Can you tell me where the relay for the fuel pump is located? I'm thinking it's the relay behind the glove box but I'm not positive. Thanks!

Answer
Crystal: I believe your fuel pump is controled by the car's computer. And so could be your car's computer needs to be replaced. But also found out there could be a relay in the center console. But my repair manual talks about the MFI relay as controling the fuel pump, but then I looked up the MFI in my book it said that was the computer. So your computer would be behind the glove box. Also you know don't you that Mitsubishi farmed out the building of their computers to another company, which did not do a good job at building computers. So these computers have a part in that, that will start to leak and with time kill off the whole computer. So maybe your car has one of these computers. You should have the computer checked to make sure it is ok.  I do hope this helps and good luck!
