Mitsubishi Repair: 97 transmission, rpms, rpm

Question
i got a 97 eclipse 2.0 turbo automatic. the problem is that the car gets to like 3rd (maybe 4) gear and stays there. at 75 mph the rpm are at 3200 and at 80 the rpm are at 3600 and 90 mph the rpm are at 4300 i don't know if this is right but it seems like the rpm should be a lot low            can you help me???

Answer
Daniel: You better be getting this checked, as you could blow your engine forcing it to run such high rpms. Have you checked your fluid? You should change the filter and the fluid to see if that helps. If not take your car to a shop and get this checked out. Either something is stuck, a switch is not working, a sensor is out well it could one of many things. But you best take the car to a shop and let them find your problem. Hope this helps and good luck!
