Mitsubishi Repair: removal of the wood grain panel, wood grain, radio cd

It's seems that the knob to change the temperature in my 99 galant has somehow come off track and I can no longer change the temperature.  I would like to know how to remove the wood grain panel that holds the radio/cd player and air control unit in place, so i can reach the air control unit and change the temp like that.

Curtis: You will have to get very close to that panel and look there should be screw covers through out it. Or else you have to remove all of the dishboard panel to get that wood piece removed off. Sorry to say every car is different, you might try to buy a repair manual for your car. Should be able to buy one at any parts store for around $20.00. It should help you too.
