Mitsubishi Repair: 97 eclipse spyder convertible out, eclipse spyder, reality check

Searching for reality check on estimate received to fix the 97 eclipse electric convertible top motor. Is this a $500 repair? thanks!

You are not alone but then I am sure that does not help you much. Still you can read up on it all. The guy on that site says if you can hear the motor still running, sometimes you can fix the motor without replacing the whole thing and therefore into the bucks. But if you do replace the motor, check around. Don't stick with just one shop, everyone has their own costs for things. Hope this helps and good luck!
