Question
my car wont start. i replaced the fuel pump and fuel relay. its now getting fuel to the rail. i pulled the distributor off to check for spark , only to find that its not getting any.im now being told its the coil pack . after pricing them between 90 & 110 dollars , id like know if that is the problem for sure before spending that kind of money again . what is your opinion of my problem besides money hungry idiots

Answer
William,
This does sound like it could be the coil pack.  Most any mechanic can run some simple tests to see if the coil pack itself is defective.  You can even check this yourself if you're familiar with how to use a multimeter and have a service manual for your car (can be purchased for about $15 from most auto parts stores).  I'd also recommend having your car's computer inspected for damage.  If the computer has problems and is malfunctiong, it can cause problems like the ones you're experiencing.
Good luck!
