Mitsubishi Repair: 92 Eclipse GS 2.0 - Engine Coolant Temperature Switch, coolant temperature switch, engine coolant temperature

Question
Hi, i have a 1992 Eclipse 2.0 FWD (4G63 Engine), on the Refrigerant Assembly neck exist a part named "Engine Coolant Temperature Switch"....  how works this device?    This Temp Switch is broken, immediately one fan stopped (Condenser Fan) and only work fine the Radiator Fan. The A/C does not cool air, only natural temp from the blower.

I think that changing the piece the problem is solved but, only want know how work the "Engine Coolant Temperature Switch"

Thanks!!!

Answer
Ricardo: To make your AC work in your car you need to have a refrgerant charged. How is your compressor and it's drive belt? In good working order? You should inspect the condenser fins for leaves, bugs and other debris and also check the evaporator housing drain tube for blockage but the temperature control is a cable that you will have to check. Why not go out and buy yourself a repair manual for your car. I tell everyone to do this, can get one at any parts store for around $20.00. It will show you all about your car and will walk you through it's repair. Hope this helps and good luck!
