Mitsubishi Repair: transmission problem, auto tranny, tranny fluid

I have 2003 galant es with auto tranny.It is stuck in reverse,even when in park.The tranny fluid looks really bad too.Could there be an easy fix without rebuild or exchange?

Jay:Just an idea here, try changing the fluid and the filter. You need to get a manual for your car, that is a repair manual. Can buy one at any parts store for around $20.00. It will explain how to do this and then also help you understand what is going on with the car stuck in reverse. Could be just changing the fluid will help it a lot but also need to replace that filter too. So I would try this and see what happens. Something could have broke in your tranny, though.
