Mitsubishi Repair: squealing, mitsubishi galant, selt

Question
I have a 1996 Mitsubishi Galant that squeals when starting us for about 10-45 seconds and sometimes squeals when it is stopped.  What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

Answer
Sarah:Your belts are in need of repair. Or have come loose enough that it does not hold so good when cold but once the engine warms up so does the belts and they stop squealing. Either take it to a shop and have them check it. Or buy a manual on your car and do it your selt. But either you will have to replace the belt or belts that are bad but a shop could do this for you. Hope this helps and good luck!
