Mitsubishi Repair: 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer es, mitsubishi lancer, air bags

I have a 2003 Lancer es and the knob that turns to cold or hot won't turn. It will turn to about 1/4 into the cold, and 1/4 into the heat. I can turn it fully either way but when I let go it stays in either of the positions mentioned about. When it's in the hot part there's no heat at all, just cold air blowing. Do you know what this could be? Thank you.

Travis:Your car is new enough I would take to a shop to fix this. It is hard to work on a car with air bags, but I think maybe you have a cable that needs to either be cleaned or replaced. As there is a cable that, that knob hooks to and that is what controls the heat. But then also you could have a thermostat out too. That is what controls the heat getting to you from your engine. You need to get a manual on your car or else take it to a shop. Hope this helps and good luck!
