-----Question-----
I need to have my front brakes and rotors replaced it started of making a roaring noise when in motion now it is making a crunchy junky noise if that makes since slight squealing worse at slower speeds than faster no sound when i stop i have to drive about 20miles to work round trip to get my check will it be okay to drive or will i make the problem worse i just need to get my check to pay for it to be fixed also does that sound like brakes and rotors?
-----Answer-----
Raven: Yes that sounds like brakes and rotors to me. I think you can drive to get your check. But becareful, go easy on the brakes, slow down for your stops before you get to them. Watch the other cars, and try not to use those brakes anymore than you have to. The more you use those brakes the more damage you are doing to the rotor. But if you are careful I think it would be ok. But then if you could get someone else to take you to get your check and then the only place you would need to drive the car is to the shop. That would most likely be a better idea. Hope this helps and good luck!

Answer
Raven: You might damage the rotor to the point that they have to be replaced. But is most cases they can turn them and then the shoes. I wish I could help you with a cost, but every shop is different in what they charge. Just be super careful, like I said slow down for your stops. Watch the other cars so you won't be jumping on your brakes and just take it real easy. Hope this helps and good luck!
