Nissan Repair: wiper linkage, advanced auto parts, plastic bearing

1996 nissan xe the wiper motor still works however the plastic bearing on the end of the arm at the center pivot is worn and the arm has popped off the mechanism. How do you replace the plastic? How can the arm be removed from the motor to be replaced if necessary?

i've had the same problem with mine.  if you havent already, remove all the plastic covering to access the wiper arms.  check to see if the wiper arms will snap back into place.  lucky for me, this was the only thing wrong with it.  i dont know what model car yours is but check autozone or advanced auto parts or even ebay for your part if it needs to be replaced.  or you could always put the arms back in place and secure it down with wire for the meantime.  you wont need to remove the arm because its connected directly to the motor, the driver side is connected in the center.  easy fix, be creative ;)
