Mitsubishi Repair: Flex Pipe.. repairable?, flex pipe, downpipe

The flex pipe on my downpipe got torn apart, is it repairable?  I was thinking possibly a large clamp over top of it? Some kind of 'glue' substance? Any ideas?

Ronald: You could try something that can take a lot of heat, to cover the flex pipe something that is made out of the same components as your exhaust. Then use clamps and maybe a hanger or two to keep it all together.But with rust and all that, you will have to replace the flex pipe and the whole exhaust. No there is no glue that I know of that can handle that much heat. Maybe a piece of sheet steel. You need to also buy a repair book for your car and then you can better understand what this job will take. Hope this helps and good luck.
