Mitsubishi Repair: Stuttering during acceleration..., torque converter, flywheel

Question
I recently took my car in because it wouldn't start. They gave me a new transmission. Since I got it back about 2 weeks ago it takes me about 2 to 3 times to turn the car on. And when I go to merge onto the highway or have to accelerate for any other reason it hesitates. It doesn't do it everytime though. Any ideas?

Answer
Carly,
The flywheel or torque converter may not have been aligned properly upon install of the transmission.  You didn't tell me anything about the car, so I can't give any specifics.  I would recommend bringing your car back to the place that replace your transmission have them test it.  If the starting issue only happens when you first start the car up in the morning, ask if you can leave your car with the mechanic overnight before they test for that problem.  Also be sure they test drive it to try to reproduce the hard acceleration issue.
Good luck!
