Mitsubishi Repair: 95 Mitsubishi Eclipse; 2.0 DOHC; Non-turbo; No Start, mitsubishi eclipse, secondary circuits

Question
Topic: 95 Mitsubishi Eclipse; 2.0 DOHC; Non-turbo
Problem:  No Start.

Hello, I'm in search of a real expert advice concerning this vehicle.  I have just finished rebuilding engine for my friend.  Prior to engine rebuild the car had been sitting up for nearly a year but it would crank and run.  The original reason for overhaul was due to engine knocking.  Found #2 & #3 mains spun.  All damaged parts have obviously been replaced and/or rectified, along with other internal upgrades.  Upon engine installation the engine would crank but would not start.  I have t/s to the extent of my knowledge and can't find a definite answer to the problem.  First I double and triple checked all wiring connections, sensor connectors and pins, etc.  thinking I've left something loose, everything ok.  I have done some extensive t/s and have found that the problem lies on only one of the ignition coils is firing (#2 & #3 cylinders).  I have tested primary and secondary circuits of the coil and they've tested ok.  I have proper fuel pressure at rail.  Tested voltages at coil connector and had proper ground but when testing the supply voltage found that it only had voltage for one coil, the coil that's firing had no supply voltage for the other coil - thus reason for not firing.  Traced all wiring no broken or shorted wires all the way back to PCM.  Tested the MFI / ASD and Fuel Pump relays (while I was at it).  Relays tested out ok.  Tested voltage supply and signal voltages for both Crank and Cam sensor, both working properly.  Still my dilemma is that I'm receiving voltage to only one of my coils controlling cylinders #2 & #3, no voltage nor spark out of coil for cylinders #1 & #4.   Anyone can assist me w/ this issue?   Anything else I can check?  Or how can I determine 100% problem is on PCM prior to purchasing one?

Thanks, Kevin.

Answer
Any engine codes?? Or engine light?? This same thing happen to me with my coil. It can test fine, but it can still be faulty on the turn of the key! Also make sure wiring harness that connects to coil is pushed in nice and hard!! Check these wires very close, being that they sit so close to the head these wires can get very bridle and some time waste away, try to play with the wires on start..  I say replace the the coil with a MSD coil from HowellAutomotive.com. As far as you PCM/ECU goes, the PCM can be read by yourself... If you get no codes its your PCM! Heres the web site to assist you in troubleshooting and helpful for pinpointing problems: Read Directions and have a pen handy to write
down codes..
