Mitsubishi Repair: 1994 2.0, crankshaft pulley, center bolt

Question
I am trying to get the crankshaft pulley off of a 1994 eagle talon(same as the eclipse) 2.0 engine.I have already remove the 4 outside bolts on the pulley and I was wondering if the center bolt needs to come off before the pulley can be removed.I understand it also holds on the crankshaft sprocket on the inside.Any info would be helpful.

Answer
Richard,
You do not need to remove the center crank bolt in order to remove the pulley itself.  It should come off relatively easy once the 4 small bolts are removed.  It may be a little stuck to the crank sprocket due to rust and other debris, but a few taps with a rubber mallet or a piece of wood in front of a hammer should jar it loose.
Good luck!
