Mitsubishi Repair: i want to install my hks afr in my non turbo eclipse?, differential pressure sensor, ecu pinouts

Question
i have a 97 eclipse 2.0 gs manual and i need to know where the pressure sensor is on the ecu. any idea where i can find it. another question is it ok to run stock internals with a turbo? and at wat psi?

Answer
Damion,
I'm not familiar with the ECU pinouts on the non-turbo ECUs.  But your ECU should have a barometric pressure sensor and a manifold differential pressure sensor.  You can check out this site for more information, including ECU pinouts, for your car:

The HKS AFR Type D does use a pressure sensor, but I'm not sure switch pressure sensor it uses.  If you had the Type L model, you could hook that into the air flow meter.

Stock pistons on a 2G non-turbo engine actually has a higher compression than the turbo model.  So if a turbo kit is added, extra force will be applied to all the internals and will wear them out quicker.  Even with an AFR installed, you should consider getting an upgraded fuel pump.  You should follow the psi recommendations as outlined in the kit.  Stock turbos are usually factory set between 11-13 psi.  I wouldn't try to go much higher than that unless you overhaul your engine with beefier components.
Good luck!
