Mitsubishi Repair: No Fuel from injectors, eagle talon tsi, eagle talon tsi awd

Question
1990 Eagle Talon TSI AWD the Eclipse's cousin
5 speed

Fuel is not making it to intake, so the engine does not start.  Confirmed spark.  Confirmed fuel to fuel rail. Will start briefly if I spray starter fluid into intake.  So I know everything else is ok it is just fuel starved.  Looked at injectors but could not tell anything.  And i believe the chance
of all 4 clogging is low.  So something is telling it not to supply fuel.  Computer, or airflow? Just not sure. Any ideas, what are some of the common issues?

Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

Answer
John,
The car's computer (ECU) controls when the fuel injectors are to fire.  The first thing you should check is the MPI fuse.  This is attached to the positive battery cable, near the battery.  See if this fuse is blown.

Your problem may be the ECU itself.  Read this article for further information:

If the ECU is malfunctioning due to leaky capacitors, you won't be able to get your car started unless you have the ECU replaced.  You should pull the ECU and inspect it for damage.
Good luck!
