Mitsubishi Repair: 97 Eclipse brake lights, blown fuse, turn signals

Question
While I was driving my car the other day, my turn signals went out.  It was just a blown fuse and it has been replaced.  I took the car in for an oil change yesterday, and the service guy told me I don't have any brake lights.  We checked all of the fuses and don't see one for brake lights, and I don't think it's the bulbs because those are the same as the turn signals.  What could the problem be?

Answer
Heather,
You should have your taillight relay checked and replaced if found faulty.  It should be located in a central junction box near your battery under your hood.  The cover on the junction box should be labelled as to which one is your taillight relay.  Double check all your fuses and bulbs just to be safe.  There is a dedicated fuse for the brake lights, but it's a multi-purpose fuse that controls more than just your brake lights, so it doesn't specifically say 'brake lights'.  That fuse should also be in that central junction box, so check all the fuses in there.
Good luck!
