Mitsubishi Repair: air intake repair on 00 galant 2.4-4cylinder, auto salvage yards, mitsubishi galant

I have a 00'mitsubishi galant 2.4-4cylinder engine. Some how i've cracked the intake right where the hose connects to the engine itself. thus my car will not stay cranked. It will come on but it wont stay cranked. I have looked all over and cant find this part, other than the dealership and they want $600 for it. Trying to get the part and hopefully find it cheaper. I've looked on this site undre air intake but all they show is the PVC vavle,filter,and PVCgrommet. But i need the intake itself(wher the metal is and has cracked). Right next to the engine. Can u please help me first find this part and possibly find it cheaper. Needed ASAP. Only transportation i have.thanx.

You can attempt to repair the crack yourself with some JB Weld.  You can find that at any auto parts store.  JB Weld consists of 2 chemical fluids that, when mixed and dry, form a weld that is stronger than the metal itself and can withstand the extreme heat of your intake manifold.  

If that does not help, you can also call around to your local auto salvage yards and see if they have manifolds for your car.  You can also search on eBay for your part.  You may be in luck in finding one there.
