Question
I have a 1965 Corvette high perf. 327 that was 360hp stock. It was bored 30 over, and has headers.
A.-what would you guess the hp is now?
B.-Is there anything you can tell me about this motor? anything to watch for, oddities, problems et al?
thanks

Answer
  Hea Ellsworth;
 Well you got a good motor ,  as far as any bad things it has none its a great year , the only thing is to keep the oil and filter clean at all times and do not over rev the rpms. 6/6.5 is enough for me but it will go farther but no need as it will only rev and risk throwing a rod. and blowing the motor up. you do not need that. you can put in a kill switch and set it at 6.7 etc. so the engine will shut down rather over rev and blow.and if you do not have a alum. intake well jam one on and add more horse with a 750 dbbl pumper  and alum. intake , and throw in a eletc. dist.and coil , if you do not have one now.as far as hp now I would guess that it is near 400 + - with headers open.and the only thing I would look out for is the valve springs and lifters keep the valves set all the time and check the springs. do not over tighten the valves .your cam is that of a solid lifter. so keep it at factory specs. unless you changed it, but a fuely cam is a good street cam . you have a 327/365  , w/202 valves as long as the motor is true.as the 327/375 had fl.inj.         OK.
