Your owners manual should tell you the exact amount of oil that you need.  But if you do not have that as a reference, I believe your car takes about 5 quarts when installing a new filter.  But if you want to be sure exactly how much your car needs after an oil change and a filter change, put 4 quarts in it.  Then, run the car until it reaches normal operating temperature.  Turn it off, and let the engine cool for about 20 mintues.  Check the dipstick, and add the amount of appropriate oil to fill it up.  You may need to add up to a quart, but running it with 4 quarts for that short time will not hurt your engine.
