Mitsubishi Repair: Front Bakes, dust boots, rubber boots

Question
2000 Mitsu Galant

Replacing front pad, I forgot to notice one of bolts had rubber or plastic sleeve on.

Is this bolt on top or bottom?

Thanks

Answer
Lakhmir,
If you're referring to the caliper pin bolts that hold the caliper to the mounting bracket, then they both should have a rubber boot on them.  These are dust boots to prevent debris from getting under the pins and causing excess friction and wear.  Look at the other side of the car to confirm that you have the rubber boots on both sides.
Good luck!
