Mitsubishi Repair: A one sided problem, mitsubishi mirage, seat belts

Question
I know that you mainly deal with engine/tranny problems, but I have a problem that I can't seem to find an answer to and I hope if you can't answer it you can at least point me in the right direction. I have a 1993 Mitsubishi Mirage S and it is equiped with the automatic seat belts. The one on the passanger side is working with no problems at all, but the problem is with the importiant one. The drivers side. when I have the ignition in the on position and/or the car running the seat belt will not move the the upright position most of the time. Sometimes it will work and then just suddenly move back towards the front of the car while I'm driving down the road. I don't believe that it is a problem with the switch for closing the door because the dome light comes on and the door ajar light comes on on the dash when the door is open on the drivers side, but the light does not even come on for the seatbelt when the belt is in the forward position when the seatbelt is not working. I checked to see if there are any fuses for the seat belts and per the owners manual there are no fuses just for the automatic seatbelts. Can you please help me with this, or at least give me contact information for another person or web sight that can help me fix this problem?

Thank you,
Josh

Answer
Hi Josh

You have a electrical problem that can be tricky to find unless you use a test light to check your current or the seatbelt line is off track and needs re adjusting but that will require to remove the door panel to get to it. If you have trouble with it let me know and i'll try and get a picture of this diagram for what it looks like so you can get it fixed..
