Answer
Al,
For most Eclipses, the LOW SIDE port for the A/C system is located on the compressor.  That's below the intake manifold on the drivers site.  The HIGH SIDE port is located near the power steering pump near the edge of the drivers side engine compartment.

If you have an Eclipse made before 1994, you most likely have the old R-12 refrigerant system.  R-12 has been outlawed in the US, and you'll have a near impossible time to find it.  You can get a conversion kit to convert your old R-12 system with the new R-134a fittings.

I'd recommend having a professional convert your A/C system, check your system for possible leaks, and recharge it with the new refrigerant.  If you live in a part of the country where they regularly salt the roads during the winter months, and you drive your car in the winter, there's a good chance a hole could have developed in your condenser.  That's the most common A/C component to go bad.  Have a leak test done before you spend money on having it recharged.
Good luck!
