Motorcycle Repair: H4 SOCKET CONNECTOR WIRES ?, connector wires, socket connector

Hi Johnny

You've help me so much in the past and I THANK YOU for that.

I'm upgrading my 1985FLHTC Harley's frontend lights.
Headlamp has (3) wires coming out of the bucket on my bike.
Which are: Black for ground, White High Beam & Yellow for Low.

Now on the new H4 Socket Connector I need to solder onto
my original headlamp wiring. I've got a problem that maybe you
can straighten my out on.

On the new H4 Socket Connector that are (3) three wires;
Black is for ground I know that.
However, The RED & GREEN I don't know where they go onto the
my orignal WHITE & YELLOW wires ? ? ?

Does the RED on the H4 connector solder onto the WHITE OR RED ?
Lets say you said " THE RED ON THE H4 SOLDERS ONTO THE WHITE ON THE HEADLAMP BUCKET. Then I'll know that the where the GREEN ON THE H4 GOES ~ ON THE YELLOW ON THE BUCKET.

I HOPE I GOT THAT AS SIMPLY AS I CAN JOHNNY ?

Hello Ray.  Sorry I was very slow getting back to you. I had the Flue for over a week. Feeling better now. what you want to do is connect black to ground and then red to white and yellow to green. then plug in the light and turn the ignition on and switch the handle bar switch it hi and low. If it is working in reverse. Switch the wires and do it again with the bar switch. If good shut off ignition and soddar wires and heat shrink. Good luck friend and god bless you and your family..
