Motorcycle Repair: 1980 honda cm400t, 1980 honda cm400t, vacuum leak

Question
with the bike idling, the RPM increased up to 5000 on it own

Answer
I have had this same issue and it was a vacuum leak.
My carb manifold was not securely clamped to the carburetor.
Spray around the carb boots and manifolds with starter fluid to see if anywhere the fluid gets sucked in and reaves up.
Dirty air filter sometimes causes a choking effect and can cause a raise in RPM's.
Check your crb manifolds for cracks, check all bolts and clamps to make sure they are tight...
