Ace, The stator is under the flywheel on the left side of the motor as for the regulator some are on the side of the frame under the seat. Some have even been at the bottom of the frame below the seat area to cool them off. Its about the size of a pack of cigarettes with fins on it to dissoppate heat and bolt to the frame and have a large plug in with probable 6-8 wires in it.
