Motorcycle Repair: Charging systeam Honda CB 900custom, honda cb 900, honda cb 900 custom

Question
I have a Honda CB 900 custom that dose not charge properly I do get 12 to 13 volts Rectifier regulator and stator check out ok but how could you test the rotor The two bands do not short to ground and if you ohm between them I get 1.4 K ohms I am not short where to go from here????

Answer
at what RPM are you getting 12-13 Volts?  You should get about 14 at 2000 rpm.  Check your connections; these old bikes have typically oxidized connections all over.  Good luck,  Jan

Thank you for your feedback.  a 1 and a 4? thats graceful, after I take the time to respond to your question that has not nearly enough detail for a diagnosis.  You obviously cannot read as it states in my profile that I only answer questions on CBX and CB1100R model Honda's.  Yours is neither.

Free advice, that I sometimes offer just for helpless individuals like you to try and offer some suggestions for other models, is clearly wasted.  Thanks and do not contact me again.
