Motorcycle Repair: cmx250c, honda rebel 250, honda 250 rebel

Question
I over tightened and broke the plastic part at the end of the choke cable that threads into the carb. Do you know the name of this part and where I can get one .
.

Answer
Charles, the year of your bike would have been helpful, as they have been making CMX250 Rebels since 1985 and often Honda will make design changes to the part or relocate it elsewhere.

Bottom line is that the cable is all one piece, but the lever is separate, so you need a new choke lever.

This was a random model choice so when you order a new one from Honda, you will need to specify your year version, just to be sure you get the correct part. Sometimes Honda will make the exact same part for the full production, but often they will either improve the part or redesign it and the part number will change, reflecting the modification.
