Motorcycle Repair: Carbuerator Hose, 1981 honda cb650, honda cbx

Question
QUESTION: i am trying to find the rubber 1/4 " 3 way T hose connector , that connects the number 1 and # 2 carbs and the #3 and #4 carbs,,, i have looked everywhere , honda has it but it is $44.95 a piece and i need 2 of them

ANSWER: Dennis... It would have been very helpful if you had stated what model bike you are working on.

Remember that Honda doesn't use SAE sizes, so you are looking for metric sized fittings.

Google the part number directly and see where they pop up. Sometime, in the past few months I recall someone offering these in a reproduction version, but I don't have the reference handy.

Honda CBX bikes use those, among other models. They are vent lines, not fuel fittings, so are not absolutely critical for operation, if they are the ones I think you need.

QUESTION: it is a 1981 Honda CB650 custom ,,,,,,,,

Answer
Search the web for:
16036-460-771 JOINT,THREEWAY
16047-460-771 JOINT,THREEWAY

http://www.hondabike.com/fiche_section_detail.asp?section=123561&category=MOTORC  $30 each here...

Call your dealer and tell him the best price you found on the internet was $30 and see if they will match it.

Pretty brutal. either way.... for a little formed rubber T. Again, these are vent tubes and you can just leave them off altogether....
