Motorcycle Repair: Removing Right Crankcase from 66 Honda Dream, honda dream, clutch cable

Hi Bill,
I am trying to remove the right crankcase from a '66 Honda Dream C77300. My question is do I have to remove the Kick Starter Joint in order to do so and, if so, how do I go about it?

The kickstarter cover comes off after you remove the footpeg and RH exhaust assembly. Remove all the screws and put a little tension on the k/s arm, while you pull the whole cover off the k/s shaft splines. The k/s knuckle stays in the cover.

It all comes off as a unit, including the clutch cable holder, which slides out of the cover, allowing you to disconnect the clutch cable.
