Motorcycle Repair: 78 CM185T Twinstar, bill silver, spark advance

Question
I have a "78 CM185t Twinstar that won't start.  I was riding up to a stoplight, pulled the clutch and it revved really high and died.  Afterwards I was unable to start it with electric, kick or a roll start down a hill.  If you can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Answer
Brad, check the following...  Gas in the tank, put the fuel petcock on R(eserve).

Get battery fully-charged. Remove the spark plugs and check for signs of fuel fouling and verify that they are getting spark to both plugs.

There are other possibilities in the spark advancer mechanism seizing up at full spark advance, some kind of sudden air intake manifold leak, carburetor float valve blockage and more.

If the engine still has good compression, then the issues are probably fuel or ignition related.
