Motorcycle Repair: timing chain, piston rings, cam chain

Question
I've got an 87 cb750, I need to pull my jugs and replace my piston rings. I'm having trouble figuring out how to get my timing chain off. I'm not the most amazing mechanic. Any info would be helpful.

Answer
This not an easy answer nor is the job. There in no master link so the cases have to come apart to get the chain off the crankshaft. The engine will need to be almost disassembled to pull chain chain off. The problem is it may take some special tools to remove some of the engine components.A lot of the service shops wont even look at a bike over 10 years old'if you are going to leave the chain in the engine. Then loosen the cam chain tensioner and remove the spring loaded plunger on the back lower side of cylinders. This should give you enough slack to get the cams loose.(do not let the chain drop inside the motor) tie it up or use a wire and hold it up while removing the cyliders.
