Motorcycle Repair: head bolts, head bolts, dealer inventories

Question
I have a 73 Honda 750 k3 engine with a broken head bolt.  The problem is that I haven't found any place on line where I can get these head bolts.  I've been told they don't make them any more.  That doesn't sound right.  Could you please point me to the place that I can get head bolts for this engine.
?  Thank you for your help.

Answer
Fran, I am not sure I understand your question. CB750s have STUDS, not BOLTS as the primary method of keeping the top end attached to the cases. Please be specific as to the exact fastener that you need, when asking for help/searching for parts.

or contact my friend, Mark McGrew at M3 racing for help.

Check parts lists at:
http://www.sohc4.net/index.php/cb750/books-manuals-guides  K3 part 1 on page 33 for diagram of main bolts. Other top end fasteners are in the forward portions of the parts book. Note down the part number and then GOOGLE it to see where it may be found. Otherwise, there are numerous engine builders who can supply replacements. They may have old ones hanging around to give you.

Other options are to have a Honda dealer search the DCS system for parts that are in dealer inventories.
