Seriously, re-jetting my Keihin Carb shouldn't be that differcult?

Can you please step-by-step me with how too's ?
Such as what jet needle(s) I have to replace to open up my carb.

My concern is about re-setting the idling screw on how to count the turns out & in again.

Need help Mike.

ANSWER: You sure you have a CV carb on your bike? They were not used in 1985. Also, why do you feel the need to rejett?

QUESTION: Hi Mike

I looked in my service manual though it really didn't say I had the KEIHIN Carb. I put that up on one of the H-D forums about the '85 Electra Glide Classic had that carb.

I haven't ridden for quit sometime now and I'm sure the carb has to be clean out. The bike has been layed-up for 6yrs. now and I'm due to go riding again.

Not that I'm do; I want too. Even when it was running it was ALLWAYS
a pain to start her-up.

What do you suggest about cleaning the carb out ?

Thanks Mike

Answer
If the bike ran fine before then you dont need to rejett. I would pull the carb, clean it out really well and rebuild. You can still get rebuild kits for your carb. You could also install a S&S carb which would make your bike run alot better
Good luck and happy riding
Mike
