Motorcycle Repair: bafels, dyna jet carb kit, drag pipes

I have a 98 heritage soft tail it has 2 in to 1 exhaust pipe i think stock if i take the baffle out will i burn the valves and if so how do i rejet the carb and to what #

you can take the baffles out, but it will cause you to loose power in midrange. Your turning your pipes into drag pipes. You would also be leaning out the engine, so you would have to rejet the carb. your best bet, if you plan on doing this, is to get a Dyna-jet carb kit. You will find it has the jets you need and great directions
