Motorcycle Repair: motorcycle lift on sportster, tie down straps, motorcycle lift

Mike: I would like to know the proper procedure for useing a craftsman motorcycle lift to jack up my 2001 sportster, I do not want to do any damage, your input would be appreciated, if you could include procedure from start to finish, thanx, dennis

Slide the lift under the bike being centered on the frame. Jack it up to touch the frame and make sure its not hitting anything else. If it is you might have to move it around a little. Jack it up slowly and test the bike to make sure its balanced and then jack it up as high as you need. If it came with tie down straps then attach them after you get it up.
