Hi Jan,
Thanks for the hints using diesel to store the Goldwing 1500. I have one followup question, does the 1500 have a drain to remove the diesel from the tank? and How will I get diesel into the carbs when I'm ready to store the bike?
I suppose once the gas is drained and the tank is filled with diesel the engine would start on the gas remaining in the carbs but will it run long enough to fill the carbs with diesel?

No, do not try to run the bike with diesel in it.  Does your fuel tap have a vacuum shut off?  If so, override that to get diesel in the carbs.  Once there, you're good to go and leave the bike for a few months.  Once you want to start riding again, take the fuel line off, drain all the diesel, drain it out of the carbs and refill with nice and fresh gas.  Then start the bike and you should be fine.  Good luck,  Jan
