QUESTION: YES!!!!   I understand how  most everything works, I did electrical maintenance for Motorola years ago- is there anything that describes, "This goes to this, then ...". I apologize if I sound anal- I just don't want to fry anything. I greatly appreciate your time and experience.  The motorheads at the harley shop here in Lakeside ,az, are probably getting tired of me.  Thank you very much.

Answer
The 12 volt power goes to the oil pressure senser, then a wire goes to the light from the senser. The light should have two wires. One if from the senser and the other goes to ground. When the pressure comes up the senser is a switch that shuts off the circuit.
Good luck and happy riding
