Motorcycle Repair: Rough running HD, harley davidson road king, gas tank

QUESTION: Hi Mike,
I have a 2003 Harley Davidson Road King Classic.  When the gas tank is full the bike runs well.  After approximately riding 50 miles the bike starts to run rough and difficult to keep running at idle.  I fill the gas tank and the bike runs well again.  I have approximately 15,000 miles on the bike and the problem started about 2,000 miles ago.  What's up?

No problem. It sounds like your fuel pump is either plugged, the filter is plugged or the fuel line is plugged or there is somthing in the tank plugging the line. You would have to pull the top cover on the tank and do an inspection of the tank
