Motorcycle Repair: 2005 twincam A from a dyna lowrider fits what other frames?, dyna lowrider, softails

QUESTION: have a dyna twincam88A carbuerated w/tranny what year frames will it fit? only Dyna family or will it also go into touring model frames?  Cant seem to find any aftermarket frame for the engine tranny combo.

ANSWER: It will fit a 2000 and up frame. Doesnt have to be a dyna model

QUESTION: quick clarification, engine and attached tranny are bolt in to 2000 up frames? i was under the impression that the Dyna engine tranny combo was unique compared to other softails.

Hate to say this, but I messed up! The engine and trans you have will fit any FX type frame. You can still use the trans, but you would have to change the case. the difference in the engine is the engine in the softtail has a counter balancer in it and yours doesnt. As to fitting in a softtail frame I cant find anything that says it cant, but also, I cant find anything that says it can
