the manual said to put 4 liters of oil in but when i got to 3 and a half the oil tank over flowed. So i opened the sump nut the oil had got to the sump.I wonder do you know what the problem is. Thanks Tony

Answer
If you have an oil tank you have what they call a dry sump engine.Meaning that the oil is stored in a tank external from the engine. The term dry sump is not really true. The engine will still have oil in the bottom of it after you have drained the oil from the tank. Now the problem is you need to put about 3/4 of the recommended amount of oil in the tank or fill the tank 3/4 full.Replace the fill cape and start the engine. Let the engine run tell it gets worm. Now check the oil level in the tank and add oil tell it is at the recommended level.I think that you are replacing the oil to quickly. This should salve your overflow problem. Also check ALL hoses going to the tank and make sure none are crimped or damaged. You don't have to run the engine very long 2 or three minuets is fine
