Motorcycle Repair: harley master cylider, softail standard, brake fluid

hi,i have a 2006 softail standard,just brought  new chrome handle bar controls,put them on and pulled the brake lever before i put brake fluid in it the plunger got stuck for a minute now it wont bleed up could i have damaged it,the handle pumps now but wont pump up,i dont wont to pull it apart unless i have to ,

Pumping it before putting brake fluid in didnt hurt anything. The hole in the master cylinder, where the fluid goes in, is very small and takes along time to pump up. When pumping, do it slowly and keep bleeding, it will take a while. It works best if you have a vaccumn pump, but bleeding the old way works too
