Motorcycle Repair: 73 shovelhead, cylender, oil line

Question
how do i cheak if my primary oiler is working correctly.what would be the cause of cylender num. 2 blowing a little white smoke.

Answer
To check the oiler disconnect the oil line going to the primary from the oil pump and run the bike and see if oil is being pumped.
If you are blowing some white smoke, the you are burning some oil. the oil is probably getting passed the pinston rings or the valve guides
