Motorcycle Repair: Starting, rm 250, dirt bike

I have come across a 2 stroke dirt bike that has not been started in a couple of years. Is there anything that I should do to the motor before I try and kick it over? It's an 2004 rm 250.  Thanks for any help!!

I would put some diesel into the spark plug hole, and just ease on the kick starter; or if you want to be really careful, take the head off and check the bore.  If you try and turn it over, and there is significant corrosion in there, you could cause big damage...  Don't force anything!!!
