Motorcycle Repair: Draining gas tank, gas tank, fuel line

Hello I have a 2004 Fat Boy that has been sitting for about six months do i need to drain the gas tank? and how do i do this? before i try and start it.Thank You

Your fuel is pretty old so I would dump it. Since you never said if its carberated or not, if carberated just disconnect the fuel line from the carb and drain into a gas can. If its fuel injected, use a hose and siphon it out
